Day 2 Saturday, 14 June
This Morning you will embark on a tour to Robben Island, place of incarceration for Nelson Mandela for 18 years of his 27 years of imprisonment.
Once you have crossed Table Bay to Robben Island on the scheduled ferry, you will enjoy the Private Tour with Christo Brand.

Christo Brand, is a former Prison Guard, who was responsible for guarding Nelson Mandela. He came to Robben Island, where Mandela was being held, in 1978, when Christo was 19 years old.
In 1982, he was transferred along with Mandela, to Pollsmoor Prison. Christo and Mandela developed a close friendship over the course of many years.
Christo is the co-author of his book, Doing Life with Mandela: My Prisoner, My Friend (updated 2nd edition edited by Andrew Russell, 2022) by Christo Brand with Barbara Jones.
The departure to Robben Island takes place from the V&A Waterfront, which is also where Nobel Square is situated. Here you will find four statues of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates – Nelson Mandela, FW de Klerk, Desmond Tutu, and Albert Luthuli.
Your Guide will pick you up at The Commodore to take you to GOLD Restaurant, arrive by 6:30 pm for the Interactive Djembe Drumming Experience.
Please note, there will be Vegetarian Options for Meat Dishes at GOLD.

Day 3 Sunday, 15 June
After Breakfast, you will be met by your Guide in The Commodore’s Reception area and taken on a Full Day Cape Point & Peninsula Tour, including Simon’s Town Boulder Beach Penguins.
Cape Town is frequently acknowledged and awarded as being one of the world’s most beautiful places – this tour will show you why! Experience the spectacular natural splendor and abundance of life of the Cape Peninsula. With scenic views to take your breath away and photo opportunities galore this trip also takes you through a World Heritage Site – the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, passing magnificent beaches and the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay, and Llandudno. Visit the busy fishing harbor at Hout Bay, where you can take a walk on the beach and paddle your feet in the cold sea.

Your tour continues over Chapman’s Peak, known as one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world, all the way along the Peninsula to the Southern tip at Cape Point. An invigorating walk takes you to the two lighthouses at the top and bottom of the headland, from where you will enjoy extraordinary views of the cliffs and the ocean below. Alternatively, you could take an optional short funicular ride to the top. Take a photo down at the most South-Western point of the African continent at the Cape of Good Hope beach.
Keep an eye out for wildlife!
Your Guide then takes you along the False Bay coastline to the Naval village of Simon’s Town.

Here you will visit the delightful African Penguins of Boulders Beach. After your visit with the African Penguins, the drive takes you back via Cape Town’s coastal and Southern suburbs.

Day 4 Monday, 16 June
After enjoying a hearty South African Breakfast, your private Cape Town City Tour starts. This Afternoon you will learn all about Cape Town’s rich history and vibrant cultures. Some of the highlights will be the beautiful Company’s Gardens (where you will see the Parliament Buildings and Tuynhuys, the official Cape Town office of the President of South Africa – Nelson Mandela was President from 1994 to 1999), and the City Hall and Grand Parade. An overview of the Company’s Gardens can be found on page 8 of the History of Cape Town’s District Parks.
On his release from prison on 11 February 1990, Nelson Mandela addressed the thousands of people gathered on the Grand Parade to listen to his address from the balcony of the City Hall. There is now a statue on the exact spot where he stood, the bronze statue is slightly larger than life size – 1.95m.

After Lunch on Own, your Hiking Guide will meet you at your hotel at 1:00pm for your Afternoon Table Mountain Hike. Table Mountain is a Natural Wonder of the World. Within Table Mountain National Park are an estimated 2,200 species of plants and 1,470 floral species, with many of these plants, and an estimated 70% of the flowers, endemic to Table Mountain.
Your Private Hiking Guide is Fynbos Whisperer, Santie Gouws. In 2019, after a 10-day Solo Hike of Reunion Island, Santie left a 25 year Engineering Career to establish Fynbos Whisperer Guided Hikes Cape Town.
After visiting the top of Table Mountain, your return will be in the 65-passenger Cable Car, which has a rotating floor, ensuring that all visitors get a 360 degree aerial view of Cape Town.
After your Table Mountain Hike, return to your hotel for Dinner on your own.

Relaxing Breakfast at your Hotel. Your Guide will meet you Mid-Morning to drive you through the Cape Winelands to Franschhoek. You will have Lunch, followed by a leisurely walk through the town on your own.

Franschhoek Wine Valley, also known as the “Valley of Dreams”, is situated in the southeast corner of Paarl. Founded by exiled Huguenots in the late 1600’s, Franschhoek retains much of its French viticultural roots. The terroir is ideally suited to the production of heavy, robust red wines.

Your family will enjoy exclusive use of one of Kruger’s premiere Lodges.
Umganu Lodge is an idyllic retreat built on the banks of the magnificent Sabie River, providing uninterrupted vistas of the world renowned Kruger National Park. Every room comes with a panoramic viewing deck, which means you won't miss any of the African Wildlife around you. Umganu Lodge is located in Elephant Point. Elephant Point is private estate/reserve on the banks of the Sabie River, overlooking Kruger National Park. The park is accessed via Kruger Gate, a few minutes’ drive from Elephant Point. Iconic Kruger National Park is considered the National Park by which all others in Africa are judged.
Jock Safari Lodge
Your Game Drives and Bush Walk will take place in Kruger’s southern region, where the Mitomeni and Biyamiti Rivers meet, in the private Bushveld Concession Area, the Jock Safari Lodge has exclusive traversing rights in an area regarded as one of the best in all of Kruger National Park for “Big 5” Wildlife Sightings. The “Big 5” are Lion, Leopard, Rhinoceros, Elephant, and Cape Buffalo. Jock’s Safari Lodge also prides itself on helping Guests spot “The Ugly 5” which can be found here.

Each Morning get up bright and early, enjoy light Snacks, Tea, or Coffee, prepared by your In-House Staff, before you head out on your early Morning Game Drives. After a thrilling Safari, return to your Umganu Lodge for Breakfast, prepared for you by your Private Chef.
Depending on your pre-planned Schedule and Itinerary, go out for a Wilderness Walk, or relax in preparation of your Evening Game Drive. Enjoy a swim in one of the two heated pools. Following your Evening Game Drive, enjoy a South African Braai, prepared by your Private Chef, as your family enjoys time in your Private Lodge, around a South African Fire.

After your early Morning personally prepared Breakfast, you will say good-bye to your new Safari friends. As you set off for your transfer to Kruger Airport, for your Flight to Victoria Falls, a two hour drive, you will have one more hour of Game Viewing in Kruger National Park. What African Wildlife will come out to say good-bye?

Victoria Falls National Park
Located in Northwestern Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls National Park, is home to Victoria Falls, "The Smoke That Thunders". The mighty Zambezi River creates what is considered to be the World’s Widest Waterfalls.
Measuring 1,708 Metres in Width, Victoria Falls is one of the most iconic, sought after experiences in Africa.
The Park has dense Rainforest, with water spray from the Falls. The Park is mainly populated by Baboons, Warthogs, and Monkeys. The Flora includes Ferns, Palms, Liana Vines, and Mahogany.
