DAY 01: NAIROBI

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi you will be met and welcomed by our Airport Representative. After a short Briefing, transfer to overnight at the Trademark Hotel.

DAY 02: ABERDARES / SAMBURU

This morning, after a delicious Kenyan Breakfast, drive North across the Equator to Samburu Game Reserve. Here, within the land of the colourful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, harbors a number of Wildlife Species found only north of the Equator.

The “Samburu Special Five” includes the Grevy's Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and the Beisa Oryx, which are unique to this area of Kenya and can only be spotted in Samburu. Samburu National Reserve also has a good number of Lions and Leopards and offers the opportunity to see many species endemic to northern Kenya.

It offers unique vistas of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife.

After a warm Samburu Welcome, Lunch is served at the Elephant Bedroom Camp. Later in the afternoon proceed on a Game Viewing Drive until Sunset.

DAY 03: SAMBURU

Spend the day in the Reserve where Game Viewing and visibility is excellent. Bird life is superb with over 380-recorded species and game which includes Reticulated Giraffes, Grevy’s Zebras, Elephants, Oryx, Somali Ostrich, Hippos, Crocodiles, Gerenuk, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, and Hyenas.

The long-necked Gerenuk is a graceful Antelope which spends much of its time in a bi-pedal stance seeking succulence among the withered scrub which dots this harsh terrain. Relief comes from the Ewaso Ng’iro River which rises some hundreds of kilometers to the west on the foothills of the Aberdares, and which vanishes beyond Samburu in the recess of the Lorian Swamp.

Elephant Bedroom Camp offers luxury in a setting of breath taking beauty. It is set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River and shaded by doum palms and other trees that make up this green belt of riverine forest in Samburu National Reserve.

DAY 04: SAMBURU / OL PEJETA SANCTUARY

After a hearty Kenyan Breakfast, enjoy a morning drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa Oryx, Rothschild's Giraffe and Black Rhino. Game Drives here reveal the full range of African Wildlife including Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephant, and Hippo.

Your home for the night will be Sweet Tented Camp. Tucked inside the landscaped grounds and accessible via winding stone pathways, Sweetwaters’ accommodation offers an elegant retreat amid the breath-taking natural beauty of Kenya’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Visit and observe chimps from the Jane Goodall Institute at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary was established in 1993, with an agreement between the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the Jane Goodall Institute. Over the last decade, the Sanctuary has provided a safe haven for the Recovery and Rehabilitation of Rescued Chimpanzees.

Other optional activities, at additional fee, include Bird Walks with several hundred species to observe, and Horseback or Camel Rides.

DAY 05: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY / LAKE NAKURU

Next on your Ultimate Kenyan Safari, after breakfast, comes a leisurely drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a protected Game Sanctuary for endangered species of the Black/ White Rhino, among other usual game such as the Leopard and Lion.

Arrive and welcome to Flamingo Hill Camp. Here you will find a hidden world tucked away in the heart of Kenya

Lunch at the Flamingo Hill Camp, followed by an afternoon Game Drive until Sunset.

DAY 06: LAKE NAKURU / MAASAI MARA

Travel to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of Large Mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate Wildlife Reserve. The park is famous for its annual migration of Wildebeest.

Transfer to the Entim Camp, one of the friendliest places on Earth, with a Game Drive en route. After a welcoming check-in, enjoy hot, relaxing Lunch.

Later in the evening enjoy a Game Drive in this spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains, and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the World. The landscape is made up of rolling Savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets. All meals and overnight at Entim Camp

DAYS 07- 08: MAASAI MARA

During your stay, you have the opportunity to explore this great reserve in depth. You may see Elephant, Giraffe, Prides of Lion, and thousands of Impala, Topi, Grants and Thomson's Gazelle. Birds are prolific, including migrating birds. 450 bird species have been recorded - among them 57 Birds of Prey.

You also will get a chance to visit a Maasai Tribal Village and enjoy entertainment by Maasai Dancers. Often, guests are invited to join in and learn directly from the Maasai their traditional dances.

While in the Mara, you will have the option, for an additional fee, to float above the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem on board a hot air balloon, followed by a Gourmet Champagne Breakfast.

Entim Mara Private Wing is part of the main camp in the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Entim Private Wing is designed for small groups or couples who desire Exclusivity and Privacy. Guest tents are discreetly located in front of a small spring surrounded by trees, and one hundred meters away from one of the major Wildebeest crossing points on the Mara River.

DAY 09: MAASAI MARA / NAIROBI / DEPART

After breakfast morning drive back to Nairobi with a Game Drive enroute.

If the schedule permits, Lunch and last minute shopping in Nairobi. Later transfer to the Airport for your outbound flight.
