Green Trax Mission:
We believe in working together and that there should be no competition or "trade secrets" if we want to be successful in counter-poaching as well as curbing crime like drug dealing, hijackings, cash-in-transit heists, kidnappings, etc.

We are not under the illusion that we can save the world or that we will be able to stop wildlife poaching and trafficking. We do know, however, that we are making a positive difference in nature conservation and crime prevention through active participation and through the support of and collaboration with other reputable organizations and individuals.

Working with dogs is our passion - Using our knowledge of the bush and experience of working with rangers made the decision to devote our lives to conservation using the dogs an obvious one. Working with the dogs to combat crime and even helping in search-and-rescue missions are just added bonuses to a very fulfilling life.

We will present an informal interactive program over 2 full days which will include demonstrations, theory, and practical activities. We aim to introduce the complex situation with wildlife crime, poaching, trafficking, syndicates, etc. We will introduce the work of rangers, dog-handlers, and working dogs, pilots as well as other role players in the fight against crime. The costs and legal requirements to be able to operate and where the law and corruption often hinder us to do our work.

Africa on Foot are specialists in Big Five Safaris and Walking Safaris in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve; a wildlife rich region in the heart of the Greater Kruger. The Klaserie shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, which means predators and other wildlife roam freely.

On a Walking Safari guests will be led by experienced and professional Trails Guides through an area abundant with wildlife. Walks offer a unique perspective and insight into the bushveld, and plenty of knowledge is gained while at ground level with marauding predators and giant herbivores. On foot you will learn about the medicinal and practical uses of plants; and exchange stories about the wild. Morning’s start with a 3 hour slow paced walk through the Savannah (weather permitting), where you will track and try to find big game.

In addition to Walking Safaris, Evening Game Drives take place. This allows guests to participate in a full spectrum of Safari activities and track the Big Five. There are only 5 chalets, which means guests will enjoy an intimate, Personalized Safari Experience. The more adventurous guests have the opportunity of sleeping under the stars in a treehouse structure at an extra cost.

Evenings are spent around the campfire and there is often a traditional braai (barbecue) dining experience. The atmosphere at camp is relaxed and guests are made to feel like they are part of the Africa on Foot family. Two swimming pools adorn the property - one is located inside the camp, which is ideal for families. The other swimming pool is adjacent to the treehouse, a few steps outside of the entrance to camp.
